Food Gadgets!
Why is it so easy to sell lies? Why is it so easy to convince people to do the opposite of what is needed to be healthy? Why is everyone so willing to be lied to. Why do the worst diets sell the most? Why do we people seek the same empty promises and tricks? All the while achieving the same results—failure. Why does this happen when there is truth in ever direction. It is in all walks of life. You can find truth in nature, which needs no advertising, marketing, packaging or salesmanship! The truth about health is in nature—not text books. I recently watched Dr. Oz on television, while waiting for my car to be serviced. I was part of the captive audience in the air conditioned waiting room. I'm no longer surprised by the absolute nonsense which is so freely dished-out on the TV. Yet when doctors are called upon for their "expert" knowledge, I expect to learn something of a scientific nature.
Case And Point
A large woman was the subject of an unspoken condition that many women face. When certain women urinate they spray. This is not a normal spray, but one that often causes embarrassment. It seems the urine goes everywhere so the sufferer of this condition needs to remove all their clothes for obvious reasons. This slows the sufferer down and creates all kinds of worry. A urologist was invited on the show to share her knowledge and expertise. Here's how it played out: The woman suffering from this unfortunate condition known as Incontinence (with a twist/spray) happened to be extremely overweight. It's not as though she simply has an overactive bladder (Incontinence), but that she can't control the direction of the stream. The urologist speaks about the woman's organs as though they are separate from her or people in general. As though the environment in which they exist is irrelevant. Can you imagine if we thought that way about our external environment. The polite doctor explained that over time the muscles of the pelvic floor weaken and can no longer hold the urine. She didn't explain what caused the lack of control of the stream or the spraying of the urine, really. She just explained that her muscles were weak and needed strengthening. She suggested to the obese woman that she should use these specific vaginal "cones" which were developed to strengthen the kegal muscles. Which in turn strengthens the pelvic floor. Problem solved. Wow! Those doctors sure know their stuff! I just may puke.
Is Blindness An Epidemic?
Here we have a woman weighing close to 3oo pounds and the doctor says nothing about her weight? Have we all lost our frigging minds? This woman is morbidly obese!!!! Her problem is not of a muscular nature! Her problem is based in pressure. Gas pressure and pressure as a result of enormous weight from fecal matter and FAT! Am I just so insane that I don't get something the "expert" knows? The great travesty of this ridiculous, glossy, marketing based bullshit show, using play doctors, was that no one said a thing about the lady being fat! The great travesty is that nothing was learned. Even the woman was visibly disappointed. I think she was hoping to hear about a lap-band thingy or a laser technique or whistling on one foot while facing east. Damn, something other than cones! I'm not going to be politically correct here. Never have been and never will. But for the purpose of brow beating and for driving my point home, I must be extra brutal. America is beginning to equal "fat & lazy." Once a land of opportunity because we were open-minded, capitalistic, movers and shakers. Now a land of opportunity because we're all becoming sloths and the only thing shaking is our FAT!
It's A Matter Of Give Or Take
No successful diet takes anything away from the potential dieter. All successful diet programs repackage the same old lies—calorie counting, portion control, low-fat, low-sugar, high-protein, bla, bla, bla. Funny thing is, diets are based on non-truths and a recipe for failure. They replace your favorite (non) foods with "low-fat" versions. People! Lasagna is not food! Fat free or otherwise it is going to make you fat because it is un-digestible shit! Delicious, indeed. But shit none-the-less. The truth about weight-loss is based on processing—not calories. If you've read my older posts, you know my feelings about this waste of time.
Rinse & Repeat
This has played out several times in the past as I talked to more people about health. Someone would call me seeking advice for an illness or symptoms. Knowing I'm not a doctor, but not being happy with the results from medicine or other suggestions from the doctor, they asked me for diet suggestions. Here's the way it goes when food is the topic of conversation. When a person asks about diet suggestions to heal a condition or illness, what they really mean is what can I add to my diet that will fix this problem. The answer isn't what we add for healing but what we take away from our daily intake. Now, if I say try adding salads and yams. Or more fruits and vegetables, most people think you might know something. Tell them to stop eating a food because it is a direct cause or major contributor to their illness and typically, the response is, "what the hell do you know? Are you a doctor? No words can convince them that doctors spend more time and attention on their loans for medical school than they do on diet for the human being! Isn't that insane?
Doctor's Don't Know Shit About Health! But We Do!
(An actual idea for a Tee-shirt for the place where I began as a colon therapist, Chakra XVII)
Get it? I'm a colon therapist! Don't know shit! You see, once again we must mention that health will not be achieved by adding substance to the body through diet. Health will never be attained by eating more or eating more so-called super-foods, such as meats and grains. Health will never be achieved through exercise alone or through pills powders and potions. WHEN SICK, ALL LIFE FORMS STOPS EATING OR REDUCES GREATLY, THE AMOUNT OF FOOD CONSUMED UNTIL WELL OR DEAD! That's that. That's life. The idea that health can be achieved through over eating is absurd. Professor Arnold Ehret talked about this idea way back in 1922. We cannot and will not eat our way to health. The idea is to not eat so much food that we bog ourselves down with debris caused by the body's inability to efficiently handle all the material we consume. We pretend to eat less food, while we actually process more material by eating these new "gadgets" we call food. That's right, gadgets. Food gadgets! That's my new term for "non-food!" And the title for this blog.
Be Real
Our diets can include the full array of foods available to humans on this planet. Including some of the gadgets, from time to time. However, we must consider the journey the food and waste takes from entrance to exit. From orifice to orifice. The mouth is connected to the anus. Nice image, isn't it? So, the amount of foods and gadgets we eat must be considered. Even plant based foods can be over-consumed and tax the digestive and elimination systems. Food gadgets are a problem because they are created like Frankenstein and called food. We eat this garbage and our health turns to? You guessed it! Shit. I know I'm being a bit vulgar today. Sorry. I'm not angry just a wee bit edgy. When we eat food gadgets the body is taxed because it is built for food not food imitations. Not additives. Vague term isn't it? Nor preservatives. A bit more descriptive but vague. The human body is designed by our environment. Earth. To produce food from other foods is a compromise. What do you think would happen if we replaced natural food with processed food for horses, fish, lions, alligators, zebras, etc. We would see a rapid decline in their health. Or a shorter life span—as seen in zoos. Animals in captivity don't live as long as those in the wild. Of course this does not account for premature death due to trauma (fighting, hunting, or accidents from genetic weakness, etc.). Finally, we need to consider the effects of the foods we eat on the digestive and elimination systems. Foods should cleanse as they pass. Not slime as they pass. Simple. Alkaline foods cleanse. Acidic foods slime and stick. Simple. No fuss. No muss. No package. No bull. No ads. Nothing to sell? Huh? How's that work? Why not not sell something? Why not share? Isn't that what we pretend to teach our children when we teach them morals? Just a thought.
My Too sense
I'm sure that subtitle will have "real writers" rolling their eyes. What can I say? I'm cheesy, sometimes. Funny to write that and be a vegan. Eating whole, natural foods is the answer. Eating them in proper combination is really wise. Decreasing the amount of flesh, especially beef, is even wiser. Keeping processed food to a minimum, wiser still. These ideas apply to vegetarians and vegans, too. Forget all that Tofu, Tempeh, Seitan, fake healthy vegan sheesh—eat the beautiful, sweet delicious foods our earth still grows. In spite of its superior race. Perhaps one day we will finally kill our soil. Or should I say, Monsanto will kill our soil? Right now, which by the way is all we have, we still have whole food available. No, it isn't the fine whole foods our grandparents or even our parents enjoyed, but it still grows. I know this is sad and pathetic, that we as the superior race allow ourselves to be ruled by ourselves. How does that work? Oh yeah, the government says what goes and they have the military and the military have the guns—so we have to listen and obey. Doesn't that also sound a lot like organized crime? Isn't it illegal when the mafia does something like that? Hey, wait a minute! Isn't that double standard? How convenient.
Hang In There
Don't be fooled with food gadgets. Eat real food. Don't believe that ill health happens to everyone. It does not. Illness is reached far easier when obese. Beware of heavy people teaching about health. And above everything else you ever learn about health. . . make sure your output equals your input. Rather than making your muscles stronger to combat your obesity—learn the truth about the human diet and say goodbye to lies and dependency. Thank you ladies and gentlemen. I will leave you now. :)

The Egg Has Many Faces!
I am writing this piece as a request from a good friend. This friend eats a diet of mostly raw foods and very occasionally eats a little bit of cooked. The one non-vegan food he eats is raw egg yolks. He uses the organic, brown eggs. This may seem like a strange topic for me to write. I learned this from my teacher and I've shared it with people that have difficulty sustaining themselves on an all vegan diet. Or a diet of all raw vegetables and fruits. The egg yolks have something to offer.
Back To The Egg! (A title of a solo album by Sir Paul McCartney)
Lets talk about the many ways an egg can be useful, especially to vegans or "mostly vegan" folks. The egg in its nature, meaning raw is a mucusless food. Keep in mind how all nutritional value in food is determined. In a raw state! Once a food is cooked the nutritional value is now permanently altered. Denatured. What is alive in any given food dies upon being cooked. It seems that 118 degrees is the temperature where things begin to die or become compromised, this happens over a fairly short period.
This Is No Yolk!
There's a craze going on for some time now. The "egg white craze." This is born of the gym trainer mentality. The trainers that don't know any better, talk the high protein game. And they love those egg whites. Here's something I've talked about for years. Egg whites are used for carpenters glue! What makes up the egg whites is known as albumen. Modern doctors believe that albumen is an important protein, while Professor Arnold Ehret believed albumen is waste product in the human body. Either way you eat them, cooked or raw, the egg white is a rough food on the human body.
Wow! All That In This Little Egg?
It appears to me when looking deeper into albumen that upon being heated the protein becomes denatured. Which we already know happens. The difference here is that when the albumen is heated, it becomes less poisonous. In both states it is a coagulator. Meaning, it binds water. This is a good thing for the blood if you want to regulate the way drugs are absorbed into the body. This slows down or tempers the speed at which drugs are transported and therefore absorbed. This is why egg whites are so constipating. Remember the ideals we use to measure our food values? This is based on how the albumen in our blood plasma acts. We just go ahead and assume that a cooked egg white is beneficial. Like whey—if it's protein it's good! I say not at all.
Remember When White Foods Weren't On The "Healthy List?"
The best ways to consume eggs are as follows: Poached or soft boiled. The reason being, the whites must be cooked as to not be poisonous. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. Cooking the egg whites makes them far less poisonous and somewhat, slightly digestible. When they are raw they just gunk up the blood stream. Cooked, the egg whites are highly acidic, sticky, mucus forming and very slow to digest. When we poach or soft boil and egg, we don't overcook the yolk and we don't under-cook the whites. The whites are passable and the yolks are still beneficial. Once we fully cook the yolk we lose all that is beneficial. Lets also consider that the whites are lacking all of the fat soluble vitamins, such as A, D, E, K, and contain zero carotenoids.
Egg-celent!
What is beneficial in the yolk? When the yolk is raw all the B vitamins, the fatty acids, useful fat, etc. The ray yolk is packed with nutrients and contains 100% of all the carotenoids, which are organic pigments. There are about 600 known carotenoids, which are primarily found in plants, or more so in algae. This is a result of photosynthesis. Avocados are also very helpful for our absorption of carotenoids. Cultures that eat foods rich in carotenoids (fruits & vegetables) have lower mortality rates. Carotenoids can also act like anti-oxidants. They also protect the eyes from macular degeneration. The presence of carotenoids absorbs, directly damaging blue and near ultra-violet light.
To Egg Or Not To Egg! (This does not pertain to Holloween or Egging as a practice)
To take the raw egg yolk and receive this kind of support makes sense to me. I don't use egg yolks because when I transitioned to a vegan diet I did not need the support. Perhaps my heritage ate a diet rich in fruits and veggies, making my transition and easy one. But for those who come from other regions of the world , where the diet was more of a meat and starch nature, the need for raw egg yolks could be important. Just because this food is healthy doesn't mean it must be consumed. It means it should be considered, if you feel you need something more. The benefits can be very helpful. It will give a sluggish person some "get up and go" or someone feeling as though they are lethargic or low energy a lift.
Try it! You Might Like It!
My position on this topic is: If it works, go for it! If it's not necessary, then stick to what's working. You see, we don't have to be vegan, but we should try to be as healthy as we can be. Because I'm vegan for so many years I simply won't revert. But for those considering the transition over to a vegan diet and or lifestyle, I highly recommend this helpful food. It can be used blended in a fresh veggie juice with carrots for a real carotenoid blast! Carrots are very rich in carotene a non-oxygenated version of carotenoids. Which is beta carotene. This is why they talk about carrots being good for the eyes. If you are a long time vegan and have never needed the support from egg yolks, then don't worry about this for you. Keep it in mind for friends transitioning to a vegetarian or vegan diet.
Raw yolks can be used in dressings, ala Cesare salad dressing. Or you can eat a salad, with no nuts, seeds or avocado. Then eat a poached or soft boiled egg with no bread or starch of any kind. This is a good way to stabilize while transitioning. Or this can be kept in the diet for as long as you feel you need it.
When Is Nutrition, Nutrition?
Isn't it funny? When you think of how eggs, as they are consumed by most people (fried, or cooked very well in fat) are on the list of no-nos where cholesterol or unhealthy fat is concerned. Yet simply discard the whites and take the yolks raw and you've got yourself the super-food they were once considered to be! It's simple: Nothing is as it seems. What we are told about food is based on the ideal properties of the food. Not the properties after the food has been exposed to heat for the purposes of cooking. What is useful to humans in food should be taken in its raw state! Once we cook it, we change it. Broccoli isn't broccoli once cooked, it's cooked broccoli! Get it? A note about super foods. Animal foods were considered "super foods" by anthropologists, because these foods contained a high amount of "nutrients." When are these nutrients available and useful to us? IN A RAW STATE ONLY!
Gimme Some Truth! (Song title by the late & great John Lennon)
You all know I'm not a cheerleader for all raw or even all vegan. I'm a cheerleader for truth. What is truth for me may not be truth for you. However, I know this beyond the shadow of a doubt, all nutrition based thinking, all food values, all vitamin head mentality is based on the value of the foods before they are destroyed by heat. So don't go running out to spend your money on the next "super food" Dr. Phil talks about or Oprah has talked about. Take into consideration how that food is often taken. If they're talking about fruits and veggies, which can be eaten raw, great! If they're talking about starches and proteins—ask yourself if you can eat those foods raw. If the answer is no, you don't need them as foods.
All We Need Is. . .
All we need is what can be eaten raw. Not what NEEDS to be cooked in order to be consumed. Remember, cooked food is secondary as part of our regular diet. One final word on taste. You'd be surprised how good these yolks can taste when blended into a fresh veggie juice with carrots. I hear it tastes like a milk shake! What is beneficial in the yolk? When the yolk is raw all the B vitamins, the fatty acids, useful fat, etc. The ray yolk is packed with nutrients and contains 100% of all the carotenoids, which are organic pigments. There are about 600 known carotenoids, which are primarily found in plants, or more so in algae. This is a result of photosynthesis. Avocados are also very helpful for our absorption of carotenoids. Cultures that eat foods rich in carotenoids (fruits & vegetables) have lower mortality rates. Carotenoids can also act like anti-oxidants. They also protect the eyes from macular degeneration. The presence of carotenoids absorbs, directly damaging blue and near ultra-violet light.
To Egg Or Not To Egg! (This does not pertain to Holloween or Egging as a practice)
To take the raw egg yolk and receive this kind of support makes sense to me. I don't use egg yolks because when I transitioned to a vegan diet I did not need the support. Perhaps my heritage ate a diet rich in fruits and veggies, making my transition and easy one. But for those who come from other regions of the world , where the diet was more of a meat and starch nature, the need for raw egg yolks could be important. Just because this food is healthy doesn't mean it must be consumed. It means it should be considered, if you feel you need something more. The benefits can be very helpful. It will give a sluggish person some "get up and go" or someone feeling as though they are lethargic or low energy a lift.
Try it! You Might Like It!
My position on this topic is: If it works, go for it! If it's not necessary, then stick to what's working. You see, we don't have to be vegan, but we should try to be as healthy as we can be. Because I'm vegan for so many years I simply won't revert. But for those considering the transition over to a vegan diet and or lifestyle, I highly recommend this helpful food. It can be used blended in a fresh veggie juice with carrots for a real carotenoid blast! Carrots are very rich in carotene a non-oxygenated version of carotenoids. Which is beta carotene. This is why they talk about carrots being good for the eyes. If you are a long time vegan and have never needed the support from egg yolks, then don't worry about this for you. Keep it in mind for friends transitioning to a vegetarian or vegan diet.
Raw yolks can be used in dressings, ala Cesare salad dressing. Or you can eat a salad, with no nuts, seeds or avocado. Then eat a poached or soft boiled egg with no bread or starch of any kind. This is a good way to stabilize while transitioning. Or this can be kept in the diet for as long as you feel you need it.
When Is Nutrition, Nutrition?
Isn't it funny? When you think of how eggs, as they are consumed by most people (fried, or cooked very well in fat) are on the list of no-nos where cholesterol or unhealthy fat is concerned. Yet simply discard the whites and take the yolks raw and you've got yourself the super-food they were once considered to be! It's simple: Nothing is as it seems. What we are told about food is based on the ideal properties of the food. Not the properties after the food has been exposed to heat for the purposes of cooking. What is useful to humans in food should be taken in its raw state! Once we cook it, we change it. Broccoli isn't broccoli once cooked, it's cooked broccoli! Get it? A note about super foods. Animal foods were considered "super foods" by anthropologists, because these foods contained a high amount of "nutrients." When are these nutrients available and useful to us? IN A RAW STATE ONLY!

You all know I'm not a cheerleader for all raw or even all vegan. I'm a cheerleader for truth. What is truth for me may not be truth for you. However, I know this beyond the shadow of a doubt, all nutrition based thinking, all food values, all vitamin head mentality is based on the value of the foods before they are destroyed by heat. So don't go running out to spend your money on the next "super food" Dr. Phil talks about or Oprah has talked about. Take into consideration how that food is often taken. If they're talking about fruits and veggies, which can be eaten raw, great! If they're talking about starches and proteins—ask yourself if you can eat those foods raw. If the answer is no, you don't need them as foods.
All We Need Is. . .
All we need is what can be eaten raw. Not what NEEDS to be cooked in order to be consumed. Remember, cooked food is secondary as part of our regular diet. One final word on taste. You'd be surprised how good these yolks can taste when blended into a fresh veggie juice with carrots. I hear it tastes like a milk shake! Inforexia Or Liar! Liar!
Every time someone comes along to tell me about this new discovery of some key missing ingredient in the human diet, I usually respond the same way. Over time, I've heard about the perfect prop-biotic. Soil based nutrients. Co Q10! MSM! These are the things that are lacking in our lives and will make all your problems go away! To all these well meaning, often very knowledgeable people, I say, "oh really?" None of these items are the answer or even important. The truth is in the simplicity of life. Observe nature!

Lets talk about the raw food diet. That's how we lived for many thousands of years. The oven is a relatively new invention. 10,000 years is not that long. In fact, if we are here for 100,000 years, which is the maximum amount of time suggested by anthropologists, its only 10 percent of the total. Do I believe whole, raw vegan foods are the best foods we can eat. Well yes, I do. Of course there's a long transition needed for this diet to truly take hold. This idea that everything must be raw is a bit over the top. Unless we can live in a tropical climate. Some people do better on all raw foods than others. I like to keep a tiny bit of cooked food in my diet. Simply because I love the taste of some cooked veggie dishes. This brings me to my next topic: Orthorexia! Here we go.

This seems like a sickness to me! I am repulsed by this so called "thinking." Or am I outraged? Perhaps I'm just disgusted with ignorant people having a platform. I would like to begin this semi-rant with this disclaimer. In the almost 16 years I have been involved in the raw food, vegan "way of life," I have come across some very extreme and unhealthy people. I mean they are mentally unhealthy. Some people seem to take this on like a badge of honor, which will make-up for past failures and shortcomings. There are extremists in every group. The small fringe of lunatics do not make the whole. I would also like to point out that there are some very extreme people that choose to change all aspects of their life and live very well and are well balanced, happy people.
It's All About Perspective
I understand that I appear to the average person to be way out there and way off center. However, as I've said to my Dad, who believes what I do is great, but extreme. "What's more extreme, our species, which beyond the shadow of a doubt resembles the herbivorous creatures of this planet, which ate all raw foods, readily available to them. When early humans ate meat, (not more than once a month) they ate it raw! I eat whole, naturally occurring foods, of a vegan source and this is considered extreme. Isn't the way we raise our animals for food more extreme? For animals to live in absence of sunlight, walking the natural earth and to be fed unnatural foods designed to fatten them up. To be killed, (on a line witnessing the murder of the animals ahead) butchered then arrive at your local supermarket, already in a state of decomposition. They freeze this meat in synthetic material, you buy it and defrost it. As it defrost, decomposition is re-engaged, you then take the meat and cook it, augmenting all that is beneficial in the meat, then eat it. And what I do is more extreme?" Haven't we changed our views? We see the consumption of natural whole foods as odd? Extreme? Obsessive?
A Little Bit Of Knowledge Can be A Dangerous Thing
This doctor Bratman sounds to me like someone that knows very little about health and knows that technology achieves certain results. It is obvious that this man is making this assumption based on nothing. He sees a few people that are mislead or misinformed or simply don't practice this lifestyle with balance. When we enter into this way of life, we must take fresh vegetable juice, daily, on an empty stomach. We also must eat greens, as in salad. We also must partake in colon cleansing, some deep sweating and some movement, as in jumping on a trampoline or swimming, walking, biking and Yoga! This is how we change our lives as opposed to our diets. This is not just about diet.

My dear friend Martin of 88 years, a retired priest and all around brilliant man, says this, "people are usually down on things they're not up on." In this case, Dr. Bratman sounds like a man afraid of losing his position/status in society. If that's the case Doc, why don't you expand your thinking and look into the majority of people that live, thrive and heal themselves living as we do! Instead of focusing on the minority. I already know the answer to that. Because he'll lose his job or have much lower income.

I feel the good Doctor is missing the point entirely. There is very little "nutrition" in all foods that are cooked. The nutritional value of all foods are determined when the food is in its natural state. There is no point in talking about how great oats are because of the nutrition it has because we cook it and add milk and sugar, usually. Or fruit! We are eating a food which has been devitalized and now mixed with other unnatural choices, which turns the food into a foamy, stinky, rotten batch of fermentation. It is obvious this man knows nothing about health or diet, based on his comments.

Please do a search for this man and read what he's written. This is indicative of what happens in this country. As long as you have a title, your opinion is taken as gospel. The regular folks, without degrees or titles or fancy little letters, which mean little more than feeding one's ego and creating a better marketing position for oneself, always bow to the "so called" experts. I have shared lots of information here. I will gladly send anyone real information and guide people, for free, to prove this point. I am actually thinking of taking a random person, living on a standard American diet and transition them to a vegan diet, not fully raw, and video tape the process and present the evidence on youtube. I'm sick of people who know nothing about health and actually are overweight, speak negatively about things with which they are completely ignorant. This is sad. As usual we are lead by people that know nothing about what they are opposing. Can drugs make a person healthy, vibrant or beam with health? Can the same old, lame nonsense we are taught by doctors somehow be true all of a sudden?

My mom is worried about her blood pressure. She's under 70 years of age and her numbers are great. Well, the bottom number is actually a bit low and that is great! Her top number fluctuates, because her job (she's retired) is worrying. Therefore, she is constantly in a state of trauma, but that's a whole other story. The doctor tells her they are now paying close attention to that top number! What a load of crap! They are selling drugs. Business as usual.
A Real Plea
Do yourself a favor and don't listen to people that want to keep you from becoming INDEPENDENTLY HEALTHY! Don't allow yourself to be lead by the blind. Turn a blind eye to those that say the opposite of what we know to be truth. To be healthy is simple and requires very little knowledge, just look at all other life on the planet. To be sick takes years of work under the care of and expert!
